Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Drivers World ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Drivers World is a free, independent educational website providing general information for new drivers in Ontario and across Canada. The Site is owned and operated by Andrea Molina, an individual based in Mexico City, Mexico — not a company. Drivers World does not sell products, services, or professional advice of any kind; the Site is monetized solely through third-party advertising. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact@drivers-world.com.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. The information involved falls into a few categories:
- Information you provide. If you contact us (for example by email or our contact form), we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address and message.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand usage, and serve advertising. See the sections below.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain and improve the Site and its content;
- Respond to your questions, feedback or requests;
- Understand how visitors use the Site through aggregate analytics;
- Display advertising that helps keep our content free;
- Protect the Site against fraud, abuse and security issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
This Site is supported by advertising so that our content can remain free. We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google and its AdSense and ad-network products, to serve ads when you visit.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices or YourAdChoices Canada.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms. Third-party ad networks have their own privacy policies governing their use of cookies and data; we do not control these third parties.
6. Analytics
We may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate. These services may set cookies and collect technical information as described above. The data helps us improve our content; it is not used to personally identify you.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers (such as hosting, analytics and advertising partners) who process it on our behalf;
- Where required by law, regulation or valid legal process; or
- To protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Site.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information (such as emails you send us) only for as long as necessary to respond to you and for our legitimate operational and legal purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at contact@drivers-world.com. You can also control cookies through your browser and opt out of personalised ads using the links in Section 5.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
Our Site may link to external websites (for example, official government or insurance resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
